Bio
Ty Weathers has produced professionally since 1998, first under the name Tyrant with early work for E-40, Bubba Sparxxx, and Messy Marv. Since 2003 he has been the sound behind the Moonshine Bandits: Wikipedia credits him by name as the founder of Burn County Music and the shaper of their Blue Core / Dirt Rock sound.
In 2025 he opened Sand City Studio in North Myrtle Beach, SC, now the home of Burn County Music. Within its first year the studio produced The Tams’ “My True Love” (National Dance Song of the Year, Carolina Beach Music Awards) and Ty’s work on “Outback” was certified RIAA gold.
Recent rooms: Desiigner and Giles Martin. As of June 2026, Muso.AI ranks Ty in the top 1% of songwriters worldwide.
